I vow to be more organized. I vow to be more organized. HA. I’m that ‘sort of’ organized person. I know where everything is and my house is always picked up and everything in it’s place and I want to be organized, but I get distracted.. by tiny feet. I think I’m on to something and then all of a sudden Austin needs a snack.. or a new show.. and I forget what I was doing. BUT 2018 is MY year to be more organized! And I’ve thought of a few ways to get me off on the right foot.
Getting up early.
I started this routine a while ago, but I’ll admit, sometimes I falter. I just want to stay in bed a little longer and then it turns into Austin waking me up wanting breakfast.. oops. But I definitely feel a difference in my day when I wake up early and have time to myself. Time to think and be proactive, instead of reactive all day.
Devoting time to exercise.
It’s a must. Mentally and physically. When I work out I feel so much better. I’m a better mom, wife and business owner. I can think clearer and have more energy to get things done.
Ugh. As much as I hate grocery shopping I’m going to do my best to make sure I only have to go once a week instead of my usual calling JB to pick something up on his way home or running to the store for a few things here and there.
Actually USING my planner.
I’m totally the worst about buying a planner and never using it. But not this time. I’m going to use my planner this year. And actually, I remember things better when I write them down, so hopefully this will help with forgetfulness.
Taking a few minutes every evening before bed.
I know this might not happen every single night, but I want to take a few minutes each night to myself to go over anything that needs to be addressed before the next day and look at my calendar to see what lies ahead for the next day.
