I came across Rae Dunn almost a year ago. I started noticing all these Dunn fanatic groups popping up on my Facebook. So I joined a couple just to see what it was all about. I started noticing all these “Dunnies” going nuts over their “finds.”
So one day while I was browsing TJ Maxx I spotted one of her coveted mugs.. and I was so proud of myself. It was my first find.
You can’t just go buy Rae Dunn and I think that’s what makes it so popular and the hunt so fun. Her pottery is so sought after it flies off the shelves. In fact, I’ve even heard of some “Dunnies” getting in arguments in the HomeGoods aisle over who saw it first.
I introduced my friend Erin to the Rae Dunn line and she’s become a full fledged DUNNIE.. definitely way more into than me. She finds local Dunnies to trade pieces with and meets them in the HomeGoods parking lot to do the deal.
If you’re looking for your own Rae Dunn pieces I would suggest getting to Tj Maxx, HomeGoods or Marshalls first thing in the am during the week – Tuesday or Wednesday. But watch out for those crazy Dunnies.. they’ll knock you over.
You can find some pieces online on Ebay, Etsy and Magenta, but the prices are more expensive than if you go on the hunt and find a piece in a store.
Good luck my fellow Dunnies!
